To All

As an automobile enthusiast, and avid fan of all types of Motorsports and as a member of the human race I am posting my heart felt condolences to the families, friends and love ones of those who past in the tragic plane accident on October 24, 2004 in Martinsville Virginia. I had the honor of befriending and working with three persons on that plane as an attorney who often represents folks from Hendrick Motorsports. I knew Ricky Hendrick well. He was a kind hard warking free spirited individual wh never acted as if he had a silver spoon in his mouth. He would never hesistate to go out of his way to do what he could to try to help regardless of the situation. Jeff Turner was less well known but really was responsbile for the day to day operation of the very large and immensely successful Hendrick Motorsports organization. John Hendrick ran the automobile division which included 61 dealerships including aproximately 10 BMW delaerships in the USA...It would not be unusual to see Mr. Hendrick with the president of BMW N.A. at Motorsports at any given day speaking about business matters.

I can't imagine the pain that the Hendrick family must be going through with the loss of some many good soles.

I don't mean this post to be an advertisement or a prayer vidual as I am not religious. However, this family and those on that plane clearly were an integral part of a industry which we love so much.

Thanks for your attention

Well said. I didn't know Ricky well but he was an instructor at a Mercedes-Benz driving school I attended some years ago. He gave me good feedback and he also took me for a few fun rides.

You're right, if you didn't know who he was, you'd think he was just a regular guy who was trying to make an honest living doing what he loved.

They will all be missed and will not be forgotten. :'(
