It's pretty clear to me the cops did nothing wrong. Imagine, you're speeding to the scene where some mentally unstable or drugged individual who has been threatening neighbors with a knife, and who has already jumped onto a police car and then is crazy enough to be chasing that car turns and jumps on yours? What are you going to do? It's not like you can stop one of those crappy cop cars on a dime. It's lucky for all invovled it turned out as well as it did.
