My old DLP TV is due for replacement and I was looking at the 55" Samsung LED LCD with 240hz refresh (the model number is UN55B8000). I know there's another Samsung coming soon with local LED dimming, so I was wondering if any of you guys had any thoughts on whether to wait for the new model (or just bite the bullet as the UN55B8000 is on sale right now). Alternatively, I wondered whether anyone had any other suggestions on different TV's? I'd like a 50" plus set, either LCD or plasma. Any and all input welcome!

The Sony XBR is consistently among the top-rated HDTVs. I have two of them: a 37 incher in the bedroom and a 46 incher in the living room. They are terrific TVs. A little pricey but worth every penny.
