If you think our Lawyer message is idiotic, take a look at this article. I think we Americans have gone nuts.

Hi jp:

Funny, and, yes, we are lawsuit nuts, and our warnings are comedy routine stuff.

There is one time I watched the news from TV. An old woman sued a RV manufacture, because she went to heat up her coffee in the microwave while the RV is still moving and of course her RV run off the street and cause a big accident. She claims there is no label that tells her the RV won?t drive by itself..

This is crazy.

This makes me think about some a few days ago. There used to be a time when you could speak firmly and direct to resolve some issues. A friend of mine was arrested a few days ago for doing this at a bowling alley. He was arrested for a "VIOLENT CONFRONTATION!" His lawyer told him there was very little he could do to help him.

This side of the pond we find your litigation crazy society hilarious at times...........................trouble is ours is going the same way.
A story in the press today tells of schools who have been given funding to provide free fruit for primary school children.
It then quotes teachers who are refusing to give out oranges or plums 'because of the Health and safety risk from pips and stones'
Hands up all those who can name a fruit that does not have pips or stones !
Distributing seeds is the whole reason for a fruit being formed in the first place.
Perhaps BMW should put a warning sticker on it's cars....'dangerous when driven at people'

(From the newest Darwin Awards list) Here is what those warning sings seek to prevent:

2. The chef at a hotel in Switzerland lost a finger in a meat-cutting machine and, after a little hopping around, submitted a claim to his insurance company. The company, expecting negligence, sent out one of its men to have a look for himself. He tried the machine and lost a finger. The chef's claim was approved.
