It's that time -- my cell phone is starting to break down, my contract is up and I'm looking for a new phone. I really liked the Motorola E815, but my one problem with it is that it's so huge! Any recommendations would be appreciated!

i have the treo 650 from verizon, and it works well with the car's bluetooth. no address book, though. if you're ok with palm os, then the treo is a good phone.
can you hear me now?

The CDMA RAZR will likely be available at some point...

Thanks for the responses, guys. I might just get the E815 (don't need a Treo, I guess -- my blackberry does everything I need), but if there's any chance that the RAZR might be released for Verizon in the near future, I'll go with that.

He was asking about Verizon. Not Cingular.

So was I. CDMA EV-DO is what Verizon uses. The yet-to-be-released RAZR V3c is the version Verizon and Sprint will likely adopt.
There are no announced carriers supporting this yet, but I've just mentioned the only two of relevant size who use CDMA in the US and the link I pasted deals with a US RAZR that does CDMA. Word is perhaps Q1 06 - maybe later.

For whatever reason, the Razor seems to be less pairing-friendly than the v710; maybe this is due to different Bluetooth flavors from Cingular and Verizon.
For all the whining that Verizon Bluetooth users have done, my v710 has been great. Would have been even better if I hadn't ejected it from several golf carts at full speed; hinge is now essentially shot.

Verizon is known to lock down most bluetooth functionality on its phones - file transfer, Network access, dialer, etc... If you believe as I do that our cars will get more advanced bluetooth capabilities in the future, having a Verizon phone will be a detriment. Right now, all the stuff we need for the car is there though.
