I was at a local shop and they had a rack with those small metal joke signs and there was one for BMW that says Bumms Mal Wieder. AltaVista translates it as Bumms mark again. Can someone explain this better?

Here is a link with several others ? http://www.freesurfweb.com/members/f...e/2/index4.htm

Just trying to kill some time till my delivery this Friday! Two days left!

Bums, coming from the word "bumsen", meaning, to make love (vulgar), other vulg. words for it would be "v?geln" or "ficken" or "poppen"... AND can also mean "having a crash with your car" (Dann hat's gebumst, then it crashed...)
mal, coming from the word "einmal", meaning, once, sometime, once more...
wieder, again...

So, now... The meaning of it would be: f*ck once again...

Kinda hart to translate, but I think you got the meaning of it now... right ?

There are hundreds of such meanings for car brands out there. Some are funny, some not at all. In some there is some truth... Like: FIAT, Fehler in allen Teilen, Faults in all parts, or F?r Italien ausreichende Technik, sufficient technology for Italy...

Or the version we've always used over here:

"Fix it again, Tony!"

Hey you seen Tony? Sorry 11 of us spent a week in Italy last month. It was funny then - guess you had to be there.

Iceman - Thanks for keeping to PG-13 (or FSK 12 here in Germany) with your reply. Although you frequently hear the "F" word on radio and TV (those crazy handy adds). Forget about the radio edits of songs you hear in the US - Eminem comes through just like he wrote it.

I've noticed something really funny over here.
On some songs they play a radio edited version, but oher songs are not edit, even though they are more offending...
