The suffering continues...
BMW
Like Audi owners, BMW owners were very impressed with their dealers' facilities and thought the staff were only average, but the company needs to work harder to satisfy its 5 Series customers - they weren't happy with the price or the quality of the work.

Owners of the 3 Series were much more satisfied, giving good scores across the board.

Good for Facilities
Bad for 5 Series owners
League table Joint 11th

UK E60 owners, if you have recommendations for good garages for servicing, share your views - thanks.

Interesting read!

JD Powers did the same research in Germany too, and as I havne't seen a post on it, here's the result:

Overall
BMW 83.2 (+1.8)
Audi 82.7 (+1.3)
M-B 81.7 (+1.8)

5-series vs Audi/M-B
5-series 84.0
Audi A6 83.0
M-B E 82.4

10 best German models
1. BMW 5-series
2. Audi A2
3. BMW X3
4. M-B CLK
5. M-B C-cklass
6. BMW 3-series
7. M-B B-class
8. Audi A6
9. BMW 1-series
10. Audi A3.

It's quite an extensive research - JDP asked 20,215 drivers who has to answer 74 questions about what's good and bad about their cars, the service and the dealerships. The weighting goes like this:
Quality and endurance 30%
Sympathy for the own brand 25%
Service quality 23%
Maintenance costs 22 %

Offcourse nobody complains about Daihatsu, with the price of one, you can get a new set of rims for the bimmer...!!!

It's like comparing a WorldCUp Class Football player that is one of the first ten, with one who is the best from Second League of the small city!
