If there's one thing I miss from Germany it's waking up in the morning to see it snowed during the night. Love that!

I grew up in Denver Mark, I know exactly what you mean. Snow in Sept is not unusual in Denver at all - the first football game of my High School career it snowed, in August!!! 90 degrees the day before, 90 degrees that day after, that day? 40 degrees and snowing, ah Denver where the town motto is: "Don't like the weather, stick around 5 mins - it'll change"

Used to snow like that every year for my Birthday - Oct. 11th - in St. Petersburg when I was growing up there. This is about the right time to start seeing the white stuff accumulate a little bit at night 'round where you are, no, Antti? You must be about - what? - like 300-400 miles North of St Pete's?

Yes, 400 miles is pretty much the right distance.

Wow. That's really far north. How cold does it get there on the coldest days of the winter?

So is Flat Eric warming up his snow shoes?

Well, it varies... On the coldest days it may be around -35?C / -31 ?F, sometimes even colder.
Flat Eric is doing pretty fine with his fur, he rarely needs any extra on him .

If anyone of you ever happened to visit here, especially at winter time, I definitely would arrange something unforgetable in our wildlife! Spending a night under the stars and stuff .
