nice looking design, im digging the display, the video phone is cool...but only in wifi???? wtf! (too bad phones in europe have had it that for 3 years now). dont care about that iAd junk.

Wow AT&T is letting anyone upgrade is their contract expires in 2010. I guess this means I can buy the iPad now since I'm not buying this .

I still like it. The new phone looks nice. I know HTC is a lot better in hardware, but I guess I'm a fanboy. LOL.

HTC doesn't have a display close to the resolution and DPI of this one, and the processor in the iPhone (the A4) is more than a match for the Snapdragon in the higher end HTC models. This hardware set is probably the best there is right now. Another phone will come along soon with something better but for now this is about as good as it gets hardware wise. Then again, Apple generally is about more than the hardware, the majority of Apple's secret sauce is the software and the level of internal and external integration.

The most significant change today probably went under many radar screens but rebranding iPhone OS as iOS is foretelling its deployment on a much wider device set and, so rumor has it, letting you run iPhone and iPad apps on many other devices and even within OS X. Apple always plans well ahead, and this was one such example.
