No matter what your views of PBS might be, this is by far the most comprehensive (yet incomplete) telling of this international horror story I have seen on TV, truly frightening stuff, we are more f@cked than I thought.
It puts CNN, MSNBC, FOX & the networks to shame.

Dude, you have NO idea how much i made on the stock market the last couple of weeks with just ?25k.
I take care of my own money, my own pension and my own savings/investments. I also don't do loans. (I owe nobody nothing! Not even mortgage!)

Don't want to brag here, but it goes to show that people who let their finances get managed by other companies (like banks, funds, etc...) get screwed.
If you do it all yourself, you won't ever have a problem (well, the only way i can get screwed is if my bank goes down, but, as my bank is currently state-owned, there's no danger in that)

Well, i mostly do "local" index trading. So i usually just pick up 2x call 120 dec '12 AEX (Our local index, the AEX is currently floating around the 250 mark) which sets me back about 25k (depending on the current price ofcourse).
The AEX index usually bottoms out at 11 o'clock and peaks in the afternoon. So i pick it up at 11 o'clock and sell it off in the afternoon. This brings in about 400 bucks a day.

Ofcourse sometimes the index drops hard (especially the last couple of days), so that's why i have call 12-12 options and not 3 months into the future. The index never went under 230 in the last 40 years, so i feel confident that it'll end up above 250 every time.

I know 400 bucks isn't a lot for an investment of 25k, but it really adds up over the weeks.

By the way:
Money as debt

A must-see for everyone wanting to know why the current crisis is happening. (Or at least part of it)
It's 45 minutes, so grab a bag of crisps and sit back. (It's actually kinda scary)

You would not send me a PM of what to do, would you.

With no mortgage or loans I'm getting only some 3 %+ interest on my money,
which the inflation now eats.

Got my money out of the stock market in the summer of '07.

I wonder if the "Fairness Doctrin" (or what ever Henry Waxman, et.al, decide to call it) will apply to PBS.
