Inflation, or deflation, is always occurring. Not just in the US or Russia, everywhere. The easiest way to find the most current inflation for your country or city is to look at your Consumer Price Index (CPI). On average inflation in the US runs about 3% per year. This means that something that costs $1.00 on Jan 1st year X, would cost $1.03 on Jan 1st year X+1.

That being said I think what you are asking is could the US see ?Runaway Inflation? in the near future, where instead of it being 3% over a year, we see 3,000% in a month or shorter period of time. This of course could happen; however, it is very unlikely. I (Just my opinion) expect to see double digit inflation over the next few years. I do not attribute this to the current economic policies, but a combination of all the policies over the past 10 to 12 years.

Now with that being said, where would I put my money right now? I would put into areas that are very short term, 6 month CD?s extra. Then when the interstate rate goes up to 10 or so percent, move all your money into long term CD?s.

Just my 2 cents...

You sound like a victim of a government education. This is not to be critical of you but rather our system that intentionally, by design, educates people to be subjects ? myrmidons.

You really need to listen but pay little credence to remarks like your friend murmured.

I would suggest you quickly get involved in some educational efforts regarding simple economics, saving and investing, and general money management.

IMO, we are heading for inflationary times. Governments simply cannot spend money it does not have (and can no longer borrow) unless they devalue their currency.

Capitalism and our monetary system as a whole was designed to eventually fail, it's only a matter of time till a one world currency... And no I am not a conspiracy theorist it's a fact
I just hope I'm alive to see total anarchy

I don't have any info in front of me but I read Americas economy will experience total collapse when our national debt exceeds are ability to ever pay it back. They had a date I can't remember but at the current rate it was like 2025 the same year Caucasians will become the minority haha

as long as we have rampant speculation on wallstreet, our commodities will continue to go up. as a result, prices of everything else will have to follow.

That's why I'm currently stocking up on salt. Salt was the original currency before Christ.
