Some evil do'er setup a script on his cable modem connected PC or perhaps a hacked computer to download the file over, and over and over again late Saturday night and Sunday morning when us folks in the USA usually sleep. When I wokeup Sunday morning I had noticed it and firewalled the IP downloading the file constantly. The IP didn't match any members or posts here. Maybe it was a roadfly person trying to waste our bandwidth? 
In any event, links to files or images or movies or anything from this site to others do not work so that is not a concern for me. Direct downloads though with no referrer are hard to block off without blocking legitimate users.
