let's see what they come up with.. if this can make PC's better then Macs (no crashes, speed, convenience, etc.) then its great. But i doubt it, Google doesn't have much experience in this field and i'm thinking Chrome OS most likely will be raw.
But who knows. Google is going in all possible markets with their money. May be they will make it better then wilndows then i will get one

This isn't really for mainstream computing.
Very similar solutions already exist. My Lenovo S10 netbook has a similar lightweight OS that lets me run a browser, chat, etc... It is by a company called "Splashtop".

The Google OS is meant to compete with products like that - not with full-blown Windows or Mac OS, etc...
One or two deployment scenarios for these kinds of products exist:
1) Selectable as a pre-boot option - you either boot to this OS, or skip and boot into Windows or Mac OS
2) You have a stripped terminal that only loads the tiny OS and your desktop is virtualized in the Cloud (VMware or something similar)
