I just came back from Cabo on Fri. Was there for a week with 6 other couples and 8 toddlers. Had no clue about the swine flu until Sun when I was reading the paper. Seems like everyone we went with are fine. Knock on wood.

Where are you staying in Cabo Kearflex? We stayed at Casa Dorada. BEAUTIFUL place!!!

hype is cool and all but what is funny to me about the swine flu, and nobody has mentioned this:

Every year in the United States, on average:

5% to 20% of the population gets the flu;

more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu-related complications; and

about 36,000 people die from flu-related causes.

...that is an average 98.63 people per day that die from the flu on average... how many people died from the flu in the last week here in the US? My count... ZERO!

looks like the swine flu isnt so bad after all...

Just had dinner Saturday (mexican) with friends that got back from Mexico! Monday morning I was sneezing and coughing, THEN I read the swine flue stories!

I think I just have allergies, my car looked green with pollen yesterday morning.

If you are not sure, get some Tamiflu or other anti-viral from your doctor. Nothing to lose from that. Be well.

We are staying in a suite at the Villa Del Palmar... Not my first choice, but a friend has a 3 bedroom suite waiting for us...

At least it is on Modano beach... We stayed at The Playa Grande last time we visited and the Sea of Cortez was unswimmable...

We are going to be fishing the Pisces Fleet 5 days so let's pray for some big Billfish...

Also looking forward to making it back to Squid Roe for a little late night dancing!

I agree that the media has blown this thing way out of proportion... Hence why I am still going!!!

I did get my doctor to prescribe me Tamaflu even though he laughed and told me it wasn't necessary...

EroCarFan... How was the weather? Did you get to fish at all?

Thanks! I'm 99% sure it's allergies! I need more claritin!
