West Kent (near Surrey/Sussex borders)

I suggested a meet before Xmas. Lots were interested. FlowerFred arranged it. And no Brits turned up. Just an Aussie, a Dutch guy, and a couple of Yanks.

Would be nice to have a good lineup of E60s.

Hi there!

Sorry I couldn't make it to the meet in Jan. I found myself over in Canada at the time and couldn't get back in time.

I'm sure we'll all meet up sometime soon. FYI, I'm driving over to Frankfurt to see Iceman and Kigerka on Saturday - should be fun: never met Iceman before... I'm going to retrofit the M5 -/+ paddles onto Kigerka's SMG wheel. Sort of a guinea pig test before making that particular mod available commercially. Hope it'll be good weather for some pics.

All the Best

Hi Baron

The website you posted is run by my friend John Thorne who is also known as Thorney Motorsport.? Have a look at his extreme X5 site: www.ultimatex5.com.? He's marketing my SMG wheel conversion...

All the Best

I've met John a couple of times. I doubt he'd remember me though. Last time I met him he gave me a run around Donny Park in his M3

To jump in a little late on the "Essex" angle... was born in Rochford, lived in Hockley, did A Levels in Southend :-) Ahhhh... the wasted hours "down the arcades"!

Is TOTS still there?

Right ... I moved from Rochford to Rayleigh 4 years ago.
Before that I lived in Sth Fambridge (Hockley basically).
Talk Of The South still exists as TOTS 2000.

Hobi, Thorney mentioned you to me - he's a good friend of mine. We took his X5 round Castle Combe a few weeks ago when my TT failed the noise test so I had a ride to give away :-) He was going to put the two of us in touch with each other, but I guess we've beaten him to it :-)
