Isn't it...
Top tip - go test drive low mileage 3 year old CL500 (or for less cash??? the CL600) with all conceivable options .. They are the same price as a new CLK(gutless/ugly)200..

Mmmmm. CL600 :-) Lovely! I traded my new-shape E Class for the E60 but thought about sticking with Merc. They are, in my opinion, lovely cars.
In fact I think the interior styling of the E Class is actually nicer than the E60 - I prefer the dash and centre console on the E.

But i will be looking for something else to fill the gap in the garage, considering a Vauxhall VX220 turbo.. any views ?
I have bought my last 6 cars frm Benham in Stockport.. i tried bluebell once but got a less than helpful reception from them.. how do you find them ?

VX220 would be a good call. I'd have one

Blue Bell are ok. I've had 3 cars from them and, as you suggest, sales wise they're a bit iffy. However i know most of the service department from running E30 M3s on track with them. Having a service manager and a some of the techs as mates is VERY helpful in getting things sorted and great loan cars.

West Kent (near Surrey/Sussex borders)
I suggested a meet before Xmas. Lots were interested. FlowerFred arranged it. And no Brits turned up. Just an Aussie, a Dutch guy, and a couple of Yanks.
Would be nice to have a good lineup of E60s.

To jump in a little late on the "Essex" angle... was born in Rochford, lived in Hockley, did A Levels in Southend :-) Ahhhh... the wasted hours "down the arcades"!
Is TOTS still there?
