I was lurking on this site for a few months before I bought my car. In fact, this website was a significant contributing factor in my purchasing my baby. Lots of good technical information, no kids posting rubbish or people touting goods/services...
This board is a perfect example of why the New York Times calls this era the "Epoch of the Empowered Individual." This board gives us the knowledge necessary so we don't get bullsh'tted by the Service Department.
Back on topic, I got my car on 23 August 2005 and finally registered for the site on 1 September, 8 days later.
