Something's wrong with this story....

How could a jet just take off from a push of a button? What about all the stuff like parking brakes, fuel on, computer on, etc.

Or was this plane just sitting there parked in Neutral...?

Weird....

I agree... It does sound a little odd that one button starts the complete takeoff sequence... Even in the E60 brakes have to be applied and, for some without comfort access, the key has to be in...
Maybe I should have gotten a plane.

On the other hand, isn't something as complicated as World War III 'startable' with a push of a red button? heheheh

Yeah, that airplane must have been ready for take off and the pilots went on back to talk with some flight attendants -- and that engineer just happened to be dusting the cockpit.....?

A single tear came down my face when I thought of the poor engineer's family. But, that was after I laughed. I sure hope he doesnt have to pay for it!

Seems too convenient. Miraculous lack of engulfing fire in the hangar? The already stated question of whether the plane would be left in such a state that this could happen, etc...

Every airline is losing money... I wonder how much insurance money they'll collect on planes they probably didn't need to fly their routes...
