...just dropping in a line to say hello from Vancouver ! It's hard to get to a pc terminal here...there's hardly any cell network service inland - so since I found one...
Needless to say the scenery is STUNNING...my camera is working hard. Congrats to any Canadians for a beautiful country and friendly people. That Icefield Parkway is simply jaw-dropping...
I'm driving a Buick Allure ( rental ) - mate...it's very painful :'(
. I had a few tears run down my cheek and had to explain to my wife that it was nothing... just missing the E60..
Cheers to everyone !!

Excellent.
I was over there a few years ago. Great place for obtaining good photo's.
I think the Allure is sold in the US as a La Crosse (or something like that) and I seem to recall that La Crosse means something embarrassing (or unsuitable) for a car sold in a French speaking country. Any French-Canadians want to take a stab at what it might mean?
I'm just back from Winconsin/Minnesota myself and had a Ford Freestyle from Hertz. Never even heard of it but it was the only thing they had with navigation so I took it. It's an SUV type of thing and I was reasonably surprised. It drove quite well for an SUV. However, just getting back home and starting my E60 was a joy.
Enjoy the rest of the trip.
