Please post your experiences. I have only cruised NCL (great experience) and was planning to do the same, but Carnival's prices just couldn't be beaten. I've finally booked the cruise and it looks like this:

Sunday, Nov 15 Tampa, FL
Monday, Nov 16 Fun Day At Sea
Tuesday, Nov 17 Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands
Wednesday, Nov 18 Cozumel, Mexico
Thursday, Nov 19 Belize
Friday, Nov 20 Isla Roatan
Saturday, Nov 21 Fun Day At Sea
Sunday, Nov 22 Tampa, FL

Looks like I'll be spending my birthday in Belize. Woot, woot (was that too gay?)!!

We'll be on the Legend. If anybody happens to be on the same cruise please let me know, maybe we can have a few drinks and/or a cigar.

I thank you for the advice. I'll look at it later. I'm surprised though that nobody here has ever cruised with Carnival. I wonder if I made a mistake booking with them. Thanks to me, they won't be going out of business.

Carnival has a reputation as a party line, with lots of drunks. I prefer RC...have done 6 with them.

I'd agree ... Carnival's demographics [mostly younger] are different than both NCL and RCL and we prefer the latter (especially with the perks that come with Diamond+ membership in Crown & Anchor). That said, I've gotten pretty juiced and partied hardy on some of my cruises - especially w/o needing to find a designated driver back to my cabin

I remember the New Year's Cruise a couple of years back when our Steward managed to find us "free" cases of champaign for a private party ... we gave him a great tip at cruise end! And, actually, I don't remember the day after that party so I should legitimately say I remember "MOST" of that New Year's cruise

Do hit the cruisecritic website ... good intel. Sign up for their roll call / meet and greet.

Enjoy your vaca!
