Does anyone have experience with laser sights for hand guns?
I am thinking about modding my Glock 27 with one.

My experience is that they're good for home or range practice, but don't have a practical use on a fighting gun. At home, it can be used to diagnose such things as anticipation, flinching, or mashing the trigger. On a duty weapon or carry gun, depending on the ambient conditions, the laser might trace back to your location. A good thing for the bad guy.

Define laser sights? You mean fiber optic sights? Or just a detachable laser? Or the laser incorporated in the grip?

crimson grips makes an laser incorporated into the grips. There aren't any adjustments needed and are fairly accurate. But like C5Driver mentioned laser s aren't too practical. the lasers fun for the first 5 minutes at the range but that's about it.

For home security it is excellent. Dont forget they have a couple of models which replace the pin below the barrel. C5driver made some good points, however we have been incorporating lasers into more of our weapons in the military lately. it has to be good quality, maintain zero/accuracy, and economical... GL and good shooting

A laser pointer on the grip or under the barrel saves time aiming in a 'situation'. It can show where you are, but they have a switch to to turn on just before pulling the trigger. Very helpful to aim when it's too dark to see the sights. Can be used for dry fire practice to verify your natural 'pointing' of the pistol without sighting. But, yes, don't give your position away by leaving it on all the time while investigating a noise in the house.
