It's one of those cheapo point and shoot, but what do you think?

It's a caterpillar after a morning of rain. I can't seem to find its eyes though.

for a cheopo ps not bad. i was going to ask, what kind of macro lens you used. But never mind. Are you sure?

i saw the bokeh. Not bad at all. Well, the iso has noise but ..taking macro pictures usually require tripod or something like that...u got my point.

I was surprised, too. It's a Canon SD970 IS and that was the second picture I ever took with it without reading the manual and on fully "Auto." The second picture of course is a cropping of the first picture, but I am amazed by the details on the cropped picture. It's a 12.1 Mega pixel P-S and it's about the size of a deck of cards.

I doubt anyone's got anything bad to say about Nikon when it comes to their pro dSLR cameras. They don't do the compacts as well as Canon do though. I've had a coolpix and really wasn't impressed at all.

That's amazing. I thought you were joking! I have a Canon SD800 IS that I've had for a couple of years. It's only 7.1 mp. I had a Canon that was basically the same prior to this one--don't remember the number. I had it for two years and it was a 4.0 mp I think. Now even my BB has a 3.2 mp! I can't keep up.

I've got the SD990
Oh well that's just great. Now I've looked at that I'm thinking why don't I buy a 990 instead of waiting for a G5. More researching to do I was convinced the G5 was "the one" but that 990 looks as good if not better. Grrrrr.
