Some states suck, Maryland is the same, tint violation results on a cheap "fix it" ticket, but the catch is that you have to submit a new vehicle inspection along with the fine. If not, you'll be refused registration renewal the next time you tabs are up! So you either remove the tint or try to find that "special shop" that will sign it off - which is really not possible as now shop is going to risk their state inspection license for an extra 20 bucks.
