Hi folks,
I am going to Taipei at the end of the month with my gf for her birthday, any recommendation of good restaurants or other "MUST GO" places like tower 101...etc?
FYI, i am planning a 3days trip to taipei but have heard the hot spring is one of the "must go" places, we also want to go to some book shops, shopping and of cos..Food.
Any good suggestions folks?
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Keith

Despite being super-touristy, you have to go to Liberty Square. It's 240,000 metres square dedicated to Chiang Kai-shek, and is connected to the CKS Memorial Hall. What makes it so amazing is the sheer magnitude of the place--it's just plain huge. There are beautiful gardens all around, and loads of historical artifacts, statues, etc. The National Theatre and Concert Hall are there also. Take some walking shoes!

Hey, I'm going to Taipei at the end of the month also! I'll think of a couple places and get back to ya later :-)
There are some sights like the Taipei 101, CKS Memorial that was mentioned already. National Palace Museum (for all the old Chinese artifacts from way back), Tamshui (old Dutch fort) area, Ximenting, WuLai Springs, Yangmingshan/BeiTou, etc
