I am a die hard GM guy and the 530xi is the first import I bought (or in this case ordered and waiting for). But there was not really a GM car I considered because:
1. Wanted AWD 2. Wanted manual transmission. Am I such a small market share that it is not even worth designing with these options? |
To me, I would consider other American manufacturers before going GM so no, I didn't (and wouldn't) consider any GM cars.
I think once you get your new baby, you'll see why being a "die hard GM guy" isn't as great as you think... ;) |

being a die hard gm guy was not great. poor service, low resale value, poor reliability (except my last car), and a "rental" car feeling
|
I have a feeling that once you take delivery of your new car, you will be a 'die-hard BMW' guy.
I bought my first BMW 5 years ago and did not consider any other brands when I ordered my E60. |
Does a CTS-V count?

looked at one. Nice car. The dealer had am 04 on the lot long after the 05's were out and could not get rid of it - was priced well below invoice. But in NE ohio i needed something that could also go in inclement weather
