I'm sorry. I realize that not many people on the board follow NCAA football but I'm so psyched the Gators won for the first time in nearly 20 years in Tallahassee Tough luck it took firng the coach to give the players enough motivation to do the job GO GATORS!!

That was a great win for the Gators. Any rumors on Zook's replacement?

The current UF president just came on board from Utah a year ago. I suspect Urban Meyer the Utah coach who dragged their team out of its perennial cellar dwelling will be at Florida Field by spring practice. Rumor has it -That same president asked Spurrier to submit an application and resume for the job. His response was go down to the first floor and look in the trophy case - there is my resume. He was so pissed he's going to SC.

I saw Spurrier was taking Holtz's place, but had not heard that story about his resume! That' too funny, and I'm not surprised to hear that response from Spurrier. Interesting on the Utah coach, he be a great catch.

Mike Price at UTEP would be my choice. Talk about turning a program around . . .

Here is an entertaining story for all of you SEC East fans:

Very true about Price at UTEP, just keep him out of the strip clubs and he'll be OK.

Mike Price would never make it to Gainesville. On the way into town for miles on I75 billboards in neon say "We bare it all". The Risque Cafe is just a few miles south of Gaineville .

I wonder if Alabama would reconsider if they had another chance?

I think Alabama has to be pretty satisfied (as much as an Alabama fan can be) given the scholarship restrictions and the loss of key players this year to injury. They have played some good football given the circumstances. Heck, they almost beat my LSU Tigers and, for at least one half gave Auburn all they could handle. Given the NCAA penalty they are under for the next 3-4 years, I doubt they could attract any coach to replace Shula right now. A few years down the line, once they have all their scholarships back, he'd better start winning more games or he will be gone. Until then, the Bama faithful will just have to suck it up.

And the The Risque Cafe you say gmartin? Never been there, I'll have to check it out next time I'm in the Gainesville area.
