People here in the US complain about $3.00/gallon gas, but I remember when I lived in Amsterdam 10 years ago, it was around $5.00/gallon (doing the conversion). I can only imagine how much gas (petrol!) is in Europe now.

In Ireland it's about $6.50 per imperial gallon.

It's more expensive in the UK. Which is odd because not so long ago, people were driving from Dublin to the North of Ireland to fill their gas tanks.

How things change.

HAHAHAHA funny! but...

I'm so tired of hearing people complain about gas prices... especially people at work.

Its only really 20 cents more than what it was for a while... *shrugs* whats all the fuss about? $3.00 vs what? $2.80 woopie doo

Say you fill up 15 gallons a time... thats a whopping $3 more... Buy one less cup of starbucks and you've evened out.

Let me clearify... Ya I know the complaint is that they are ripping us off... say a barrel of crude oil has dropped from $69 to $67 but petrol doesnt... and then when the barrel goes up again to $69 petrol goes up AGAIN!!! yes that sucks... I dont like that... but I dont like hearing people complain about the extra 20 cents a gallon from half a year ago... and that the 4 cents change in a week will make them have to change their lives drastically because of the gas increase. Bring your lunch to work one day a week, No star bucks one day a week, order the Fish instead of the Lobster one day a week... Its very easy to accomodate the extra gas price...

I think even for those who are very very tight in budget can do it, humans can adapt.

Last time I tried telling a Co-worker this he didnt listen and said I was completly wrong and not everyone can live such a fluid life as me, blah blah blah blah...

Said that he allocates such and such money for gas each month and now its sur-passing his budget. HAHAHAH riiight by how much? $5 He drives an SUV... GMC Envoy... I dont feel sorry for him.
