Hopefully Irene curves further out to sea but the forecast looks like NC to NY, NJ and CT are going to get hit. Speaking from experience, don't f*ck with Mother Nature! Get out of the way if you are near the coast...

I know you have experienced it.

But yeah, very strange. First there is a earthquake and a after shock on the east coast (?) and now the Irene is coming. Don't never ever mess with Mother Nature!

so far in jersey just rain. got the car covered in attempt to ward of flying debree like sticks and pebbles. but i think the car cover will last about 10 minutes if the winds get over 30mph. there exping 40 mph winds nothing horrible

lost power for 2 days and since we have a well and water pump, no running water was a blast

Lost power for about 16 hours at home.

Got some rather annoying flooding in the basement... Completely destroyed the carpet in the guest room we have down there.

I know several people from work that still don't have power... and several inches (some several feet) of water in their basements.

There are also quite a few downed trees around here.
