My father is visiting from Michigan, we went drift fishing Friday morning about a mile off shore. This is a 4 hour trip, 30 minutes out and back, and 3 hours of fishing. Most likely catches are kingfish, maybe dolphin and grouper.

About a 1/2 hour into the drift, my bait gets HIT! My pole bends in half, and the drag is running like crazy. I hold the tip up and start reeling like crazy. I win for about 30 seconds, then the fish goes crazy and runs the drag out. I fight him again, damn I'm out of shape! After about 3 minutes I am winning the fight, pole still bent in half, and I've got him close to the boat. Then the line goes limp! No fish, no bait. Never saw him, but everyone saw the fight. Nobody knows what it was :angry:

An hour later I am "sea sick" and blowing chunks. :barf:

Kind of sounds like you hooked the Prop!! :lol:
