any tips on where to go? i'll be there for an electronics fair in mid oct so i won't have a lot of time. i'll spend 3 days in hong kong, and 3 days in tokyo for fun.

While in Hong Kong, you should check out Victoria Peak ("The Peak"). You can either take a taxi to the top or take the tram. It's a good place to get great views of Hong Kong and Kowloon, and there are a number of hiking trails in the area that you can enjoy, plus a good variety of rather expensive restaurants where you can satisfy your appetite after your hike.

Yeah, that's fun. Take the train to Shenzhen too. Lots of fake belts/wallets/bags/watches, etc... Good ones though, and seriously only like $10-$15 USD after you haggle.
Get some custom shirts and suits made. I use Maxwell's in Kowloon (Tsim Sha Tsui stop on the underground).
