My Ride: 2005 530i SMG, Sport package, Premium package, L7, Xenon Headlamps, Window Shades, Rear red reflectors
Last Friday during California's record setting rain storm I was notified that my car was ready for pick up. Go figure. It had been at Port Hueneme since December 15, 2004. Well anyway, I couldn't wait any longer so I picked it in the middle of the deluge. To be quite honest I was paranoid driving home because of all the wackos in southern California that don't know how to drive in the rain. Anyway I am quite happy with the car. I am still trying to get used to the SMG. Right now I'm still trying to make the operation intuitive without having to think about what I'm doing, (i.e. actually having to remember forward is downshift and back towards me is upshift). The sound system is great and the car feels very comfortable to drive. I do like the active steering, again it takes some getting used to. Idrive is not a problem, I have actually programmed by star and diamond buttons on the steering wheel to do what I want. Anyway, I've posted a picture of the green horse below. I threw a couple more in an album under MP0I. Thanks for all the helpful information.
P.S. I kind of like the body colored inserts on the green color although I have the reflectors in hand. I'm not sure I want to change them out.
