Good afternoon all - I apologize because this is probably not the right place to post this question - but I will ask it anyway: I have started to get the "Flat Tire" or "Tire Pressure Loss" message in my car (MY 2006 550i) and though a tire is not flat, two of them have begun to lose air in as many days - a few pounds each (down from 32 to 27-28). The tires have about 36K miles on them so I may replace them.
Now the question - does anyone have experience with Falken Tires? And how about Vortex Tuning (http://www.vortextuning.com/Info/html/) a shop in CA that is selling this set:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/19-M6...essories#rpdId
Also, the add is confusing as it talks about 8.5 and 9.5" wide wheels and 235/265 for the tires, but a bit further down, it talks about 8.5 wheels and 245s all around. I'm going to call and ask but my question to the forum is: If I get 245s all around will it upset the balance? I have the original set up of 245/40/18 and 275/35/18.
The second question - does anyone have experience with these guys (Vortex Tuning)?
You can respond directly to santiago.fonseca@us.army.mil if you'd like.
And to throw something else out to you - Reeves Motorsports in Tampa has a set of Miro (M6-clones - bad pic attached) but they want almost 4K for the set... Any thoughts? They are for a 3-series but will fit with spacers. Good/bad idea?
Thanks fellows!
Santiago.

Hi
Falken tires are usually on the heavy side. A 245/35/19 all the way around wont up set the balance but the rears will have a stretch to them Um you cant rotate the rims so get a bigger rear tire 275/35/19. The rims on the ebay site are replicas with a 74.1mm bore and will require a good hub ring. The guy with the clones probably is running the Michelin PS2 tires that are 1500 for the set.

That's expensive for the Miro's. Purchase from a supporting vendor like myself and I can definitely help you out.
I'll shoot you an e-mail.

Santiago you have e-mail. Here is what I sent you sans price.
Hi Santiago
I saw your post on 5series.net. I am a respected vendor on that forum and can give you a much better deal. Let's start by answering your questions.
Here are the options for your wheel/tire size w/ the Miros.
Front: 18x8.0 245/40/18
Rear: 18x8.0 245/35/18
Front: 19x8.5 245/35/19
Rear: 19x9.5 275/35/19
With the 19s, you can run a staggered setup and have wider tires. Miro doesn't come with 18x8.5 so that's not possible. Also, I would really recommend 19s if you're going to go w/ an aftermarket wheel. It will look A LOT better and you won't notice a drastic difference in ride quality upgrading from an 18 to 19" wheel.

The Miros at Reeves BMW are (I think) 19 and 8.5/9.5 respectively. There's a cruise-in there tomorrow AM and I will see what they are exactly and get back to you. What I want is the M6 wheels - I am not looking for anything else - or a good, quality clone.
Santiago.

Santiago.
The 19"s are what I'd like and I want the M6 style wheel - real, or a good quality clone. The attached is the look I want. The ones from Vortex are gunmetal gray.
