No, in fact banning TC is the best thing for F1 yet. It makes the good drivers stand up and the best drivers shine. Also it makes so much more involving, now drivers have to not only watch the throttle but the braking too as the electronic engine braking s gone too.

Standard ECU is also a good thing but i don't know how much standard it is since i heard smth about Mclaren delivering those ECUs for everyone. If that's true than why Mclaren? Why any team in F1?

Totally agree on the traction control - best thing to happen to F1 for years. As for the ECU, it is jointly provided by Microsoft and McLaren who won the contract after the FIA put it out to tender. It's not the McLaren F1 team, it's a separate (though I assume related) entity which has been working in F1 for many years and has already provided services to other F1 teams.

So is there any chance for Mclaren to find a backdoor ?

Never know, but I highly doubt it. The ECU will be locked down, and, in any event, Mosley and his friends are all over these things and will be on the lookout for an infraction (and you'd have to suspect that McLaren in particular will be getting a lot of scrutiny this year after the Ferrari debacle).

So Alonso isn't the King he thought he was (without the strongest car). I love it! That ego of his is too much. Fun race for Hamilton...everyone behind him were involved in a circus-like atmosphere huh?

Bring on Malaysia!

No driver is king without a strong car. Not even Shumy. Put Schimy on a torro rosso and you'd have big chances not to make into first three at the end of the championship. Every great driver has an ego, look at Irobot Raikkonen how he treats Schumacher even though he is not competing anymore. No biggie.
Also don't worry it's still the season debut. Many things can happen till the end. Would anyone here anticipated a year ago the Mclaren spy scandal? Would anyone here be able to say ok Hamilton will win so many races in a raw but will loose the chamionship in the last race in a dramatic way?

So...Alonso isn't the King? Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. Turth will come only at the end of the season.

PS: Not trying to defend Alonso in any way, or any other driver, but it's a bit premature to jump to conclusion. And i say again without the strongest car and the strongest team there are minimal chances for a driver to be "King"

Need to do away with paddle shifters and have them actually drive the car. Dumping traction control is the first good thing F1 has done in a while to make it more interesting. If the rest of the season is as good as the AU GP it will be a great season. Looks like more than a few of the drivers were having a tough time figuring out how to drive something other than a point and shoot car.

I say do away with as many drivers aids as possible. Makes for much more interesting and competitive racing.
