The reasons described for picking the 5-series were altogether positive - pushing the envelope, forward thinking with a perfected feel. I (straight) don't feel offended in the least.
In fact, if the Will Truman character on Will & Grace (T.V. show) were to have a car, I think he would pick a 5-series (or maybe a Range Rover) while Jack would get a Mini.
