This is hilarious though - people are using the rootkit to hide cheat programs for online gaming:

Virus coders are going to be using it extensively to hide process. This has the potential to get very ugly.

Well, sorta I guess (about life being better and the accuracy of the statement). The same thing that makes writing malware for Apple unattractive is the same thing that makes writing compelling, useful applications unattractive.

We'll see how the X86 switch impacts things. I saw and played with a Dell laptop running OS X yesterday... pretty exciting stuff.
