they had 1 done last year with the Mille Miglia Coupe Concept but this 1 is a bad design compare to Audi 1

Sorry, but this looks like some cheesy tuner add-on to me. IMHO.

Led is not cheesy at all, it last much longer, less power to light up, looks much better, it the trend now with any car or van.
just look at the LCI led light for the E60 every 1 what them on the older cars. I have led already so no need for the LCI 1.

I remember reading somewhere that BMW is developing an LED "matrix" type of headlight that will be intelligent enough to actively mask out specific areas of the matrix as oncoming cars approach, etc. In other words, it'll only shine light on areas where it won't blind other drivers. No need for a high-beam, low-beam scenario, they'll just be on or off.

Being "first" with an LED headlight doesn't really mean much to me -- it's how the technology is applied that makes the difference...

I think the LED matrix system I was talking about is described here (in German):

I was working on a movie a couple of months ago in which they were using an R8. I wrote about it in THIS POST and commented about liking the LED's that followed the bottom contour of the headlights. However, I would not consider it as an "LED headlight" because the main beam was still an ellipsoid Xenon and the LED's looked mostly cosmetic......sort of like the eyebrows and angel eyes on our E60's.

In this case it seems to be a all led headlight.

If BMW will ever make those God damn ugly LED lights I will sell my BMW and will never come back.

That's the most ugly thing I have ever seen. I see it on German roads every day and allways start laughing at those poor drivers.
