Just a quick question to clarify. How much does it cost to fill the empty tank in E60 in the US?
In SoCal (southern California) about $50 for 16 gallons. It has been going down slightly lately though (thank God)

Get lost! Here it takes about 107$ / gasoline
And 83$ for diesel + I'm paying about 560$ of taxes per year because I'm using diesel

You need to move here, I need a good detailer anyway and you do fantastic work. I saw what you did with that Volvo, imagine what you could do with my car?

It goes like this:
1) The price of oil goes up and the price of gas goes up immeadiately because "it's all about the price of crude oil"
2) The price of oil goes down and the price of gas stays the same or goes up because "it's not just about the price of oil, it's about refining capacity, demand, etc."

Biggest scam ever.....

Here we go.... The price of natural gas has come down dramtically, has your power/gas bill? Maybe so but it took almost a year of low prices to get it done. With the price of oil down, so is the cost of plastics but do you see Tupperware dropping their prices? No? But that's ok for them. Transporation costs for just about every product sold in this country are down significantly, are any prices dropping in your area? Not in mine. But that's OK too. Now when the oil companies react slowly to falling prices and make some extra profit, it's the evil oil companies ripping us off.

And no I don't work for an oil company but I am realistic about how the business operates. We Americans are willing to pay $1.50 for an 8 oz bottle of Evian which equates to $24 per gallon but paying $2.50 for a gallon of gasoline is a crime. For goodness sake, the drill a water well, pipe it to a factory and bottle it. What is the real cost of that? And Evian's costs to buy the plastic bottle and transport it to the US have fallen dramtically but I don't see Evian prices falling. I just don't get it...

Ah, but the fact of the matter the oil companies made ridiculous profits the last couple of years - largest in world history as I recall. So any opportunity to rape em back is a good thing. Because they never did anything when they had us bent over and driving it in with no lube, did they? Screw them, screw the "Big 3".

Absolutely! We here at USC just entered into an agreement with BMW for some our faculty members to test drive the new Hydrogen powered 7-Series...the technology and concept are awesome!
They have been doing that here for some time. If memory serves me right, BMW have a refueling truck that goes to the people they loaned the 7series to try. If it was me, I would implement a law that forces ever petrol station to have ONE hydrogen pump and then give great tax breaks to people buying a hydrogen run car.

Forget electric cause its just not good enough. needs wires running to the street, charge can't last for long and all these hybrids are a con. It still uses the black stuff. And the batteries for these cars... anyone know how they are made and the kids of pollution it creates at both manufacturing and throwing away? Combining the two, might as well stick to the black gold.

Hydrogen cars, water through the exhaust is the result and I would buy and run one car for sure. Its time the tide turns on all these countries that have oil as their only export. Some are run by mad fools with self interests. That said, will the so called G8 or G14 or G20 leaders (can never understand why all the Gs when UN would suffice) push for hydrogen cars? I think not.

cheers
