My Ride: Silver/Grey E60
I was at my local car wash yesterday... (don't worry it was a 100% Hand Wash) and another customer said: "Man that's a nice BMW". He went on to explain how he was trying to decide between a Lexus GS and a 5 Series. I get back in the car and my girlfriend rolls her eyes and me because she knows how much I love my 525.
Anyways... It got me to thinking: How many people get compliments at the car wash?

Sometimes I get people that ask me if I want to trade cars with them.

Also "too expensive", "I wouldn't buy one even if I could"
and that's a "Baader-Meinhof-Wagen" I have heard.
The last mentioned was a very bad terrorist organization in Germany, in the 70's.
Please remember that the prices for a E60 starts as $70,000 over here.
The E60 is a heck of an nice car, all the way!

I wash mine at home 80-90% of the time. On those winter days when it's too cold, I go to a great local DIY hand washing place that has closed, heated, bays. The soapy water is really hot, so that plus the heat makes it like a sauna in there. It can be 25F outside and I'm in a t-shirt. Anyway, yes, I usually get a compliment there, and also when I stop for gas. It's usually something simple like "nice car." One guy with an e39 wanted to see the i-drive, so I let him scroll around. I've never had anyone say anything negative, at least that I could hear. I've only had my car for 18 months or so, but I bet when they first came out, owners got a lot more interest since the look was so different from previous models.

My Ride: My 5 and I met on Father's Day 2008 and have been together ever since. 20" Wheels (Make TBD), premium package, sport package, AiB V3 upgrade and a Passport Escort 8500 Radar Detector.
Compliments from the neighbors and once from the Sears repair guy when he came over to look @ my dryer. I guess he had a 550i lined up but someone bought it out from under him...
