Ok...I'm done sitting on the fence. Deciding between the 40D and the 5DMkII really didn't have to be an either/or choice, so I'll be using the 40D for motorsports and the 5DMkII for portraits/stills. B&H is estimating availability in November! Can't wait....

Everyone seems to be getting one 'pingu'! The thing with technology based products like DSLRs, they have a relative short life cycle. Sometimes waiting a long time like an 8 month period isn't the best thing to do. Unless the premium was ridiculous, like 50% more than MSRP, I'd say get as soon as possible. Wouldn't you rather be taking pictures than be waiting?
