I am a Canon user, but in terms of photography, I really don't have a particular allegiance (unlike cars 
). I don't think you can say in the Canon vs Nikon debate that one is better than the other. If you are starting out in digital photography and deciding on a camera, you could basically 'flip a coin' and not make a wrong decision. Canon or Nikon announce a new camera designed to capture some niche aspect of the market, the other company is soon to release a camera to compete. If you have a significant investment in lenses lying around the house, then you should definitely stick with the brand that matches your lenses. However, if you're a newbie in the world of digital SLR cameras, and want some of the best models you can get your hands on, then you should be perfectly happy with either the Canon or the Nikon. No 'king', just the consumers winning due to competition.

my next camera for sure..... i am using a 40D now....but hey atleast I had Canon so no need to replicate all the expensive L lenses....I am all set with the body only!

no needs Nikon fast cameras any more, just film 1080p and capture.
15min movie = 27000 photos

Just pay the premium and get it! 
On another but similar note, does anyone know a really good photography forum? Not a brand specific forum, but a general photography forum?

I was told I will be getting my 5DM2 2 weeks to a month by my Canon Rep.
