Anyone based in the bottom half of CAL?
Got a month over there in May and wanted to know the best driving roads.
I am aware of Highway 2, heading north-east out of LA, anything else worth a look?

Carbon Black:
The "bottom half" of California starts around San Francisco, it's a big state. There are endless backroads and secondary highways to light up. The options will keep you busy for weeks. Can you give us more specific information about your location - Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco - the list goes on. I am sure each California member has their own favorite local road. We will be glad to share. For example, if you want to get to Yosemite from LA there are options. Same for a San Francisco to Santa Barbara trip.

Highway 2 is great, but watch out for motorcyclist and highway patrol. Too many accidents there.
I am there almost every other week, but not with my e60, bike is more fun.

I will be using a 2005 Corvette.
I saw few M5s testing their ride there too, really good handling during sharp turns.

Hi, make sure you take Pacific Coast HWY from Sta. Monica To Sta. Barbara, it's a lovely ride, and
it is part of L.A. and the north of it.
