My Ride: Estoril Blue 440i GC
Model Year: 2017
Sorry
My other half was out in Kenya with our camera (she was working, not on holiday - really)
My kids have camera phones, but of course they're never in!
Best reason was - I was out there driving in the white stuff.
Yeee Haaar. Sooooper sideways (traction off). 30mph. Great fun.
Took the the B-roads, with no snow clearance. All the sheep took to the A-roads, so I had the good stuff all to myself. Nice thick snow (for the UK anyway). Nothing coming the other way (or my way either). Had a whale of a time.
Not that I'd like to be doing that all the time, but great for an hour or so.
I still decided that the 5er has NO GRIP on snow - tyres too wide I suppose. The traction was OK for getting moving, but intrusive when encountering small slides round corners, but it did put the car back on line. Good for the less adventurous/foolhardy. Any sort of uphill, even slight ones, caused spinning wheels with very light throttle openings.
Get out there guys and ENJOY, we might not get any more for another week/month/year!!!
But remember. Stay safe, warm and for goodness sake, don't bend the car!
