Go to Amsterdam then. It blows everything away. Love that place.
I tried some of the local produce last year in Ocho Rios. Great for rolling, but can't compare to quality out here in Cali.
Great idea ! I spent 2 weeks in Negril back in 86 and had a great time, beautiful people , great food, lots of Red Stripe and a bit of the "local produce" thumbsup.gif
Damn, when did my thread turn into the pot smokers confessional.

One Love another song from the Exodus album is likley the best known Bob Marley song of them all. What is less known however, is the fact that this version of One Love is actually a remake of the version which appeared on the this 1965 Wailing Wailers Bob Marley Music School-200px_thewailers_thewailingwailers.jpg album.....yep, that is Bob in the middle with no dreads.

This is a song that puts a smile on my face and a warm feeling inside me everytime I here it .... .. I'm liking this thread !! Hey MP where you at with Jimmy Cliff I saw him here several years ago and then Mr Tosh a few years later. I even have a couple of Ziggy's CDs. My little 6 year bought his first cd last winter at Whistler when a Bob Marley cover band played at the bar , he listened to them for 1 song then walked up got on stage and just grooved with the band for 3 sets, the crowd went wild cause he never cracked a smile and just kept the groove with a set of Choka stix..... very funny but obviously the music spoke to him. The crowd tipped him big time and then he took some of the cash and bought the bands CD ... it has been played to death since but always bring a smile to our faces !

Cheers !

Hey 'West...', love the story about your son, I have 4 y/o myself so I know the joy, that must have been great!!!
Peter Tosh was an excellent artist, a complicated but good man. In 1985 when I was in the 12th grade of high school, he would offer me a ride to school if I was at the bus stop when he was passing, he drove one of those 1980's 262 volvo coupes Bob Marley Music School-v262c_big.jpg that had a 2 tone paint job. He would inquire about how I was doing in my classes & would encourage me to do well, which was weird comming from a quintessential antiestablishmentarian. My fav. song of his is

Jimmy Cliff is good too but I never really got into his music beyond his hit The Harder They Come

In this rare studio session from 1973, the original 'Wailers' (Bob Marley, Peter Tosh & Bunny Wailer) perfoms Stir it Up, a song loaded with sexual innuendo but subtle enough to get pass the ultra-strict Jamaican censors. The song was written and originally recorded as a single in 1967.
