Well since my car is off the road for a little while, i decided to hire out a Land Rover for a bit of a laugh, to do some off roading! Not far from where i live, we have some amazing off roading areas. There is a place called Salisbury Plains, which is owned by the MOD (Ministry Of Defence) but there are legal areas on the plains where you can go off roading without running the risk of being shot at!! Haha!!
Here are some photo's i thought i'd share!
Started off relatively clean...

Slightly dirtier!!

I have since taken the Land Rover back, after cleaning it thoroughly, and have taken one of my company's company cars out instead. There is only so much agricultural driving "comfort" one can take!! So i am now driving a 2008 525D M Sport in Carbon Black with Black leather and a few other toys. It's the car i give to my directors, so have to be fairly nice to them!

Looks like a great day. I know the Plain is a huge area, but were you anywhere near Stonehenge? Took a daytrip there once, as all good tourist gawkers do. Wiltshire is a gorgeous place.

It was great fun! I often hire out either the Defender, or Discovery 3 and go out to the Plains for the day. Never broken anything, so the rental company has never clicked on!!
CWS530 - The pictures i took there were taken about 10 miles from Stonehenge. But yes the Plains are indeed MASSIVE!! In fact, it's 300 square miles. Pretty damn big i think you'll agree!!
EV4530 - We do have our moments!! Have to admit, we are very lucky to have some of the places we have on our doorstep![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
ImolaRedM - I'm surprised they haven't brought it out over your side of the pond to be honest! It would definitely sell good numbers. The only thing i don't like about the Defender is that the interior is very crampt, and not very comfortable to drive. But, as an off roader, it's savage!!
They used to go by the moto, "The Best 4 x 4 x Far". Clever!!
