So i forgot it came out yesterday (June 2nd)
i got my first listen as i previewed it on iTunes. Sounds INCREDIBLE. it is currently downloading.
Sounds like DMB is back. by that I mean like "Before These Crowded Streets" and earlier material. IT IS GOING TO BE INCREDIBLE LIVE. I cant wait to see them in Tampa.
anyways, gotta check my download status. Additionally, in case you didnt know, Leroi is on this album. they have stuff recorded from before his death.
my stomach is in knots waiting for it to download.

so i lost my debit card a month ago and got a new one. so i had to change my card number, but iTunes wouldnt accept the new security code. WTF. i had to pull out the emergency credit card. NO THAT CARD IS NOT FOR MODS DAMNIT!

DMB played at JazzFest back in late April and they played a couple of songs from the new album which they recorded here in New Orleans. Great show, really liked the new songs. Will download it once I'm back in the US...

so there are a few songs right off the bat that i absolutely love. the band is of course brilliant. Carter really shines on this record. there are some guitar solos with Tim that are pretty good. Some of the songs I am just not feeling, but I suspect in time I will grow to love them. I have been a DMB fan for about 13 years. i stopped listening for a while, but looks like I am back on the dave bus now. i listened to the cd a few times in its entirety while cleaning/waxing the car last night.

but there is a great song named "Solitude" by Edwin McCain and it is featuring Darius Rucker "Hootie".it is a great song.
edit: i do know how to play "Let Her Cry" on guitar, but i dont really like the song a whole lot

something i noticed though, the lyrics on the album are deep, but leave less to the imagination then most dave albums. sometimes i ask myself "what the hell is he talking about". the lyrics on this album are much more straight forward.
i also find "alligator pie" growing on me super fast. only DMB is cool enough to pull off a song with a banjo.
