Didnt know where to put this topic.

Anyone out there with experience shipping rims/tires? Whats the best way to ship them and which carriers are the best?

Well, when I sold my 172's I went to a local tire shop and got boxes for 24" rims. Those were the only ones big enough to fit the 19" wheels and tires, I offered the shop to pay for the boxes (since they use them for shipping too) but they wouldn't take any money. Went home packed the wheels into the boxes - sprinted to Fed Ex just in time for last pick up (met the Fed Ex guy as he was leaving the store) and got them on their way. Good luck

I've shipped a set of 19's and a set of 21's in the past year. The absolute best way to ship wheels/tires is take them to a UPS store and let them pack it for you. They charged me $10 per wheel. That includes material and labor. Super cheap because of the size. The 21's with tires were 90+lbs each.
