Okay I think this has been discussed in the past before, but there have been a few new addtions to the market since the last poll or discussion. I was wonder what you guys think the best radar detector is. I know almost everyone loves the V1. I like the fact the it has the directional arrows, that's a big plus. But I was reading tons of reviews online and it seems that the Passport 8500 X50 was rated the exact same. The only down side was it didn't have the arrows but had the option for a laser jammer to be added and ad just a little bit better range than the V1 on numerous tests. I think those two are on the same level, but the Passport is much cheaper. The other option which I'm considering is the Bel Pro Rx65. It was rated on the same level as the V1 and Passport. They're all top of the line units. Something interesting that I liked about the Bel was that is also includes a KU dectector. This is a new form of radar similar to X, K, Ka, which has recently been approved and will be used by cops starting in december. So that's one less upgrade I'll need. It is also compatable with a laser jammer. Its also the cheapest of the bunch. I can get it for $235. That's a deal. So I was wondering what your opinions were for me. I need a new radar, and want to get the best possible. I know the V1 is very popular, but I think it needs to be updated with a better radar antenna and possibly be put in a new case with a lasar jammer capability. Then I would go for it. I scored a little lower on many tests than both the Bel and Passport. Can you guys tell me your opinions? I'm sure all three are owned by people on this forum
