quote..Inside and outside is very plain and ugly.
I know its there icon to keep the looks the same in it life.
They must design a new look for me to get a Porsche 911
This car need loads of mod to look good.
It need some kind of Kit or some kind of lines on the bonnet and sides.
It looks like it from the 60s
Not my cup of tea.
thats the whole idea..porsche is tutonic...period.
it is functional, without bling.
ps: i have a "girls porsche" in my stable, its a 2002 boxster tiptronic S (with hard top) and i love it.
not as fast as my E60 535d, but handles superbly, and is bundles of fun. (2 speedos..speaks for itself )

The one thing that really keeps me away from a 911 is the fact that's it's not available with a more racing gearbox. Since i don't want to drive a manual in such busy traffic you're stuck in some cases with Tiptronic 5 speed automatic. I expect a GT3 car (my dream P car) to be available not only in manual but in some sort of dual clutch or SMG type gearbox that can suit the raw and ferocious character of a GT3 or GT3 RS.

You, my friend, are in luck! Porsche now has the 7-speed PDK (double clutch) transmission available on the 911, Cayman and Boxster, and it's an excellent gearbox. It's quicker than the manual, and quicker still if you option the Sport Chrono. With PDK and Sport Chrono the 911 S is getting times in the very low 4 seconds (4.1, 4.2). There's no word yet on whether the GT3/GT3 RS will get PDK (the refreshed 997.2 versions aren't available yet, coming late this year). There is a chance the GT3/GT3 RS will still be manual only, but if they are made available with PDK it would be ideal for you.
PS: Did the Cayman get LSD?

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to drive a 996 Turbo cross-country from Baltimore, Maryland to Los Angeles, California. It only took me and my friend 2 days to get the car from the east coast to west coast. It was probably the best drive ever!

WOW that's good news. Since when PDK was available on Porsches?! How did i miss that?

The PDK isn't cheap, but it's an incredible transmission - very quick shifts, and launch control. Even the auto mode is excellent. An issue for some is that like the 911 it has "bat ears" on the wheel rather than paddles for manual gear changes. These work on a push/pull basis for upshifts and downshifts - same each side of the wheel. There's a suggestion that paddles may be on the way in future.
