Took a quick look at my overall average speed (since delivery) on the way home from work today and I'm running at a frankly glacial 34.3 mph . Living in Silicon Valley, and with the the commute being what it is out here, I guess I shouldn't be surprised the average is where it is but I wondered what others are getting - and is there a marked difference between those of us driving on US freeways etc and those of us lucky enough to get a little unrestricted autobahn action from time to time.......

thanks for the replies - any other contributors? Especially interested in what the European owners are seeing.

My Ride: 04 545i Auto Sport
Silver Gray Metallic - Black Leather - Poplar
Premium Sound - Shades - Sat Prep
3M Clear Bra
54MPH - I actually thought it would be alot higher since my daily commute of 120 miles on open sections I set the CC at 85 (and thats for a 30 mile stretch) that 8 miles sitting on the 91 freeway really hurts I guess.

I had about 58 mph average I think on my trip from NJ to VA last summer. It was mostly 80+ all the way down except around washington D.C. where traffic came to a standstill in certain areas.
