Somehow, I did not like it at all. Too childish, something like my six year old daughters' mermaid/barbie movies.
3/10 from me.

Well, I'd deduct a point for a predicable plot, and maybe another for being a little too long, but the visuals and cinematography in Avatar are absolutely fantastic, probably the best yet seen in the industry. I've never seen a more visually stunning film. I saw the movie in 3D, which no doubt adds another element to the experience, but overall a very solid 8 from me (and arguably a 9 given that my points deductions were for relatively trivial things). Avatar also delivers on the audio front too. It has a few flaws, sure, but in most respects Avatar is indeed the game changer that Cameron promised.

Well the movie was pretty well thought out...but the concept has been seen many times
before. Reminded me a lot of Native Americans....some parts where way to clich?...and sitting in the second row on a 3-D movie didn't help the cause much either

I agree with Steve. This is one of the best movie experience I've had in a long time. You can bitch about the predictable plot but the cinematography is spectacular! 9 out of 10

Just saw it with a group aged 8 to 68 (me). We ALL loved it. Took me by surprise. Sure, a simple and predictable plot but it has to, to appeal to such a wide audience. Visually stunning.

10/10 from me too. It was my first cinema 3D experience, maybe that's why it was a 10. I can see what people are saying about the plot, it wasn't exactly the usual suspects on that front, but I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience watching it.

9/10 for me, I watched it in imax 3d and the experience was great, no other movie like it. It really puts you in the movie, the 3d effects were the best i have seen so far. the plot was predictable, but what movie isn't. the movie is long ass hell, but with the visual effects, I have no complaints at all. After watching this in 3d, I don't think i can watch any other movies on the regular screen anymore. two thumbs up!
